    Description


    Designed to meet stringent MIL-STD-130 specifications, unique identification (UID) labels are used by the Department of Defense (DoD) to track tangible items throughout their product lifecycle. Each UID label contains a data matrix code. When the code is scanned, it unveils information unique to the asset that is stored in the DoD’s IUID Registry. Creating a unique identification code for individual assets ensures that UID labels are truly distinct and can never be duplicated, which helps to make sure that the information related to each asset is accurate – greatly improving inventory management efficiency.  

    Designing a UID label with Clarion Safety’s easy-to-use custom product designer tool is a quick, simple process. Simply enter your company’s unique Cage Code along with the Manufacturing Part Number and the Serial Number. The tool will automatically populate Data Matrix information that can be scanned to unveil information related to your specific asset. UID labels are available in Metalphoto® in size 2.00” x 1.00”.
