Thermal Hazard Labels

Burns from both hot and cold surfaces continue to be a leading cause of injury in the workplace. Clarion Safety thermal hazard labels warn people of the need to avoid contact with both cold and hot surfaces that can be present on equipment, machinery, or individual parts. Various options for avoidance measures are presented in each design’s word message. If interaction with the hot surface could cause a minor burn, choose one of our designs that use the signal word “CAUTION.” If interaction could cause serious injury or death, use a design with the “WARNING” signal word. If interaction with the hot surface will cause serious injury or death, use a design with the “DANGER” signal word panel.
